Subject: Mexico Shipments – Options and Required Documentation
Due to continued issues with international shipments to Mexico—including packages going missing or being returned—we are updating our process to ensure successful delivery. Please review the following options and requirements carefully:
Shipping Options:
- Customer-Arranged Shipment (No Charge):
- You may arrange for your own carrier to pick up the package.
- Please notify us in advance with the name of the carrier and pickup details.
- Freight Forwarder at Texas Border (Prepaid and Add):
- We can ship the package to your designated domestic USA freight forwarder located at the Texas border.
- UPS charges will be prepaid and added to your invoice.
- CMT-Arranged International Shipment - Under $2,500:
- CMT can handle the shipment directly to the Mexican destination.
- Handling charges and insurance are included in the quoted freight price
- We will include all available documentation to assist with customs clearance.
- CMT-Arranged International Shipment - Over $2,500:
- CMT can handle the shipment directly to the Mexican destination.
- A $50 documentation fee plus normal handling and insurance are included in the quoted freight price
- We will include all available documentation to assist with customs clearance.
Required Documentation (For CMT Arranged Shipments to Mexico):
- Receiver’s
Import License
A valid copy must be provided so we can include it with the commercial invoice. - Receiver’s
RFC (Tax ID Number)
Required by Mexican customs. - Phone
Number and Email Address of the Receiver
These must be valid and actively monitored.
Note: We have been informed by the UPS International Resolution Group that recent attempts to contact receivers using the provided information have been unsuccessful.
