To determine the force required for an air impact marker application, three key parameters must be considered:
- Character Size – The height and depth of the character being marked.
- Number of Characters – The total number of characters in the marking sequence.
- Material Being Marked – Different materials require varying levels of force for proper indentation.
How to Calculate the Required Force:
- Refer to the Marking Pressure Chart – This chart provides the force needed per character, based on the character size and material.
- Multiply by the Number of Characters – Once you have the force required per character, multiply it by the total number of characters to get the total force needed for the application.
This method ensures accurate force calculation, helping select the right air impact marker for the job.
